Privacy policy

This website is run by The Lost Souls ("we"). We built it to collect as little about you as possible. This page explains what we do collect and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • Nothing through cookies. This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
  • Anonymous visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
  • Security logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and block attacks. We don't use this to identify visitors.
  • Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.

Why we use it

To run and secure the site, to understand which pages are useful, and to reply to you. We never sell or rent personal data and never use it for advertising.

Videos and links to other sites

YouTube videos load only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. After that, Google's privacy policy applies to the video. Links to Instagram, YouTube and other sites are governed by those sites' policies.

How long we keep it

Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your message, and at most 2 years unless the law requires longer. Cloudflare keeps analytics and security logs according to its own retention periods.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, including photos in which you can be identified. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Email geosahil.sg@gmail.com. We acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve requests as quickly as we can. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

We blur the faces of people who haven't agreed to appear and remove photos on request. See how to report a photo.

Children

This site isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect children's data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
