We want you to know exactly what's paid for, what's edited, and what's real.

Collaborations, free stays and gifts

If a brand, hotel, tourism board or anyone else gives us something of value — money, a free or discounted stay, flights, gear, or an affiliate commission — the post says so up front, following the Advertising Standards Council of India's influencer guidelines:

• On this site: a "Collab / Ad" label at the top of the trip or guide.
• On Instagram and YouTube: "#Ad" or "#Collab" at the start of the caption, on screen in videos, and the platform's paid-partnership tag.

Our opinions are our own. Nobody reviews or approves what we write before it goes live.

Affiliate links

We don't use affiliate links today. If we start, each one will be marked, and this page will list the programmes.

AI and editing

All photos and videos are ours. We use editing tools, including AI tools, to:

• correct colour, exposure and white balance, reduce noise, sharpen and upscale;
• straighten, crop and stabilise;
• remove small distractions such as litter, wires or a passer-by;
• blur faces of people who haven't agreed to appear, and number plates.

We don't add places, landmarks, people, animals or weather that weren't there, and we don't swap skies. If a post ever contains realistic AI-generated or AI-altered imagery, it is labelled "AI-altered" on this site and on the platform, as India's IT Rules require.

Photography ethics

• We ask before featuring people, and never feature children who aren't family.
• We don't photograph where photography is prohibited, including inside many shrines and at defence sites.
• Drone footage is only shot where flying is permitted under India's drone rules.
